I'm Liz, and I get the greatest pleasure out of leading people to release tension in their bodies that they didn't even know they had. Gaining flexibility, balance and strength comes with regular practice, but the real benefit is being able to walk around in a body that simply feels better.
One of my students said it perfectly: "I was feeling so old, but after I started practicing yoga I felt like myself again."
My classes are gentle and unhurried. We use a lot of props, and I guide people to feel at ease in their bodies and trust their instincts around how much to push and how much to lay off. You really don't need to be flexible or experienced to practice yoga, and you definitely don't need to be young or thin — you just need to show up.
Besides yoga I also teach creative writing, and the two practices have more in common than you'd think. Both ask you to slow down, pay attention and trust yourself, and just like practicing yoga, storytelling makes you feel better.
I'm a CYT-500 certified yoga teacher with an emphasis on Hatha and Restorative styles. I trained at Triyoga London with advanced training through Jason Crandell. Based in West Kent, teaching in person weekly.
